My childhood environment was protective, loving, and carefree, with little frustration. When asked at eleven or twelve what I wanted to do with my life, I answered in childish and unsophisticated terms: have a bunch of kids, knit and go to parties. These have remained my concerns: family, creativity and the sharing of my work.

Each painting, each poem is a self-portrait. My work; my joy.
