Francine Porad
What a dear and giving person is Francine Porad.
She’s a warm and caring friend and her artistic gifts are
extra special. Through Francine's
generosity of spirit, haiku flourishes in the Pacific Northwest
yet her
networking is of global proportions. With seemingly unlimited supplies
of energy, she corresponds with untold numbers of haiku poets all
over the world. And she’s been doing this for years and years!
Francine was the first editor to publish my own haiku. She encouraged
me often and I’ll always be grateful to her for refusing to
accept anything but my best efforts. In the past decade or so, I’ve
met numerous other poets who have spoken to me of similar nurturing.
Francine is all about family. She has two whom she loves dearly,
those who are related to her by blood, and those who are related
to her through the arts.
Oh, by the way, her paintings are spectacular and rival her haiku.
Francine Porad deserves all the honoring we can bestow
upon her.
Thank you, Francine!
